Regional Roundup Episode 170

On this week’s Regional Roundup, we look at the latest efforts to open Bears Ears National Monument to mining, and we’ll hear about a public awareness campaign in Colorado aimed at helping people stay bear aware.
We’ll also hear about a Western Colorado nonprofit building community by encouraging women and girls to exercise, and learn how the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe is strengthening relationships with local governments. Then, we visit the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory to learn about its research, and we finish with a look at why some trees survive wildfires while others don’t.
